About me
I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. I went to Reseda High School in Reseda, CA. I graduated in 1966 from Washington State University. I did my Medical Technology training at USC-Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1967. I lived in various places (Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, WA, Stillwater, OK) before moving to Moscow in 1972. I worked half time at the Gritman Medical Center Laboratory for 32 years when I retired in September 2008. I help out at the lab still on a PRN basis.
I belong to the Palouse LaTreks, a women's hiking group that was started in 1989. We hike, ski or snowshoe every Wednesday in the year. I bike (in good weather) with an offshoot group of the LaTreks called The Monday Pedal Pushers. I am on the board for a new organization called My Own Home. It is an organization designed to help seniors stay in their own home for as long as they want. It is based on the organization in Boston, MA (see www.beaconhillvillage.org).
I spend a lot of time with my husband who is just the best! We enjoy all the local happenings here in Moscow that we love, have coffee dates at Cafe Silos, ride our bikes and take road trips when we can (Jack has not retired yet!).
